A Russian court on Friday formally arrested Grigory Melkonyants, co-chairman of the independent election watchdog group Golos (Voice), as the country continues its crackdown on Kremlin critics and human rights activists.
"By the decision of the Basmanny District Court, a restrictive measure in the form of custody until October 17, 2023 was chosen against the accused Grigory Melkonyants," the court said.
